about

Deep Sky Network is a sonic travelogue derived from a library of sounds captured by NASA's Voyager 1 & 2. Inspired by the deepest reaches and depths of space as observed at the Peach Mountain Observatory near Ann Arbor, MI. This project is deeply personal and created for the purpose of vibroacoustic sonic therapy, recorded prior and during multiple surgeries and a variety of invasive and non-invasive treatments. The ultimate goal was to obtain a documented Neurological map of the subconscious mind (closely monitored by a Polysomnographic technologist at The University Of Michigan) while reducing sensations of pain via variable harmonic frequency and sub-frequency modulation to induce a serene-like state. After 3 months of data collection and analysis, one thing is quite clear -- in that the audible content stimulated brainwave frequencies in near synchronization of the external rhythm of the recordings. In essence, this is a natural phenomenon in which sound resonates synchronously with the heart and mind rhythmically responding to its dominant frequency vibrations. These opuses warmly envelope, blanket and soothe the soul while in a dream or wake state, manifesting a state of harmonic enchantment.

"The Tao never does anything, yet through it all things are done.

If we could center ourselves in it, the whole world would be transformed by itself, in its natural rhythms."

-Lao Tzu
